Video game developer Lesta Studio announced the creation of a separate game client for players from Russia and Belarus with the official name “World of Tanks”. The launch of the project is scheduled for September 2022. Also announced the transfer of the account to a new region.
“The companies continue to work on separation, the next step of which will be the appearance of a separate game client for players from Russia and Belarus, as well as the opening of the account transfer procedure,” follows from statements companies.
Transferring an account to a new region is not a mandatory procedure. Each player from the CIS region independently decides where to continue the game: in the RU region operated by Lesta Games, or in the EU region operated by Wargaming. The developers recommend that residents of Russia and Belarus use the RU-region, which provides the opportunity to make payments without any restrictions.
The company noted that when transferring the account, the gameplay will be saved. Also, the pricing policy and the key set of services will not change.
In April of this year, the gaming company Wargaming announced about leaving the Russian and Belarusian markets. The management of online games in these countries was transferred to the Russian company Lesta Studio, with which Wargaming developed the World of Warships online naval action game. In July, Malik Khatazhaev, a businessman from St. Petersburg, who is also the head of Lesta Studio (LLC Lesta), became the owner of the Russian studio Wargaming.
