In St. Petersburg, the shooting of a new series of the NTV channel “Committee” has started. Based on the story of three friends who connected their lives with the state security agencies, the roles of which will be played by Alexander Konstantinov, Maxim Mityashin and Dmitry Pchela.
The action of the series begins in the 70s in Leningrad. The heroes, who met and became friends in the first days of their service in the Committee, will go through numerous life ups and downs shoulder to shoulder. Their friendship will stand the test of time and career. They could not even imagine that their former “clients” – guild workers, dissidents, foreign intelligence agents – would become bankers, politicians, patrons and sponsors.
“The series tells the story of three young people who serve in the state security agencies. Playing a character in development, showing a character for a long time is not an easy task. But the more difficult the role, the more interesting it is to play it. My hero is an ordinary guy who served in the border troops and works at a factory. Unexpectedly, he received an offer to join the KGB and became a personal bodyguard, as professionals say, “attached”, one of the party leaders of Leningrad. And this is just the beginning of an interesting story…,” says Dmitry Pchela, who plays the title role.
Filming of the series will take place in the center of St. Petersburg, in the sleeping areas of the city, as well as in Moscow.
