Transport group FESCO reported, which will open an office in the Vietnamese city of Ho Chi Minh City. The company intends to expand its Vietnamese direction and is increasing its presence in the container shipping market between Russia and Southeast Asia.

A FESCO representative told RIA Novosti that the official opening of the office will take place in the near future.

During the official visit of the group’s delegation to Vietnam, FESCO agreed with the sea container terminal SP-ITC (Ho Chi Minh City port in Vietnam) to expand cooperation in container transportation between Russia and the countries of Southeast Asia. The corresponding letter of intent was signed by the Chairman of the Board of Directors of FESCO Andrey Severilov and the General Director of the ITC Corporation, which includes SP-ITC, Nguyen Thai Quang.

FESCO is a transport and logistics group with port, railway and logistics assets. FESCO owns the Vladivostok commercial sea port, the largest in Russia in terms of container turnover, which in 2022 transshipped cargo in the amount of 768 thousand TEU.

The group also owns the intermodal operator FESCO Integrated Transport, the operator of refrigerated containers Dalreftrans, the company Transgarant and FESCO Trans. FESCO manages terminal complexes in Novosibirsk, Khabarovsk, Tomsk and Vladivostok, a container fleet of over 170 thousand TEU, more than 11 thousand fitting platforms, the fleet includes 35 vessels that operate mainly on its own shipping lines.
