Pet food maker Hill’s has not received any complaints from consumers, it said TASS in company. Rospotrebnadzor also did not receive any complaints.
“All Hill’s products supplied to Russia are manufactured in Europe in accordance with the requirements of Russian legislation. We are aware of discussions in the media regarding Hill’s food. We have not received any complaints to our hotline or from other sources regarding this product and its infestation with worms and other insects,” the company said.
January 30 Telegram channel Mash reported that pet owners are complaining en masse to the department because of worms in Hill’s food. According to the channel, the food was produced in the USA. On the same day Rosselkhoznadzor banned import of this company’s feed from Italy – this was the last production site whose products were allowed to be imported into Russia. The agency emphasized that food from the United States has been banned from import since 2021.
