The Federal Tax Service is checking the income of infobusiness bloggers with a large number of subscribers in social networks. The newspaper reported Vedomosti with reference to sources and market participants.
According to the newspaper, the Federal Tax Service began to engage in the information business industry at the beginning of 2022. Then the tax authorities began to notify bloggers that they must declare income and pay taxes. The department also began to develop a methodology for finding cases of tax evasion among bloggers, as well as tools for bringing to justice.
According to the founder of the advertising agency Digital Church Mark Khludnev, the Federal Tax Service understood that many large bloggers often hide their income, which can amount to tens of billions of rubles. “Representatives of the tax authorities come to us because many bloggers work as individual entrepreneurs and self-employed, which attracts the attention of the tax authorities to them. All this boils down to the fact that we send documents to the Federal Tax Service and that’s all, ”Mr. Khludnev said in a conversation with the newspaper.
In recent months, there have been criminal cases of tax evasion against bloggers Valeria Chekalina, Alexandra Mitroshina and Elena Blinovskaya. The ICR reported that they split their income with the help of networks of controlled IP, which used a simplified taxation system.
