The Federal Antimonopoly Service (FAS) of Russia has opened cases against the subsidiaries of LUKOIL (MOEX: LKOH)a (MOEX: LKOH) LLC LUKOIL-Tsentrnefteprodukt and LLC LUKOIL-Uralnefteprodukt. The reason for this was an increase in prices for AI-92 and AI-95 gasoline at the company’s gas stations in the Nizhny Novgorod region and Perm region.

IN message The FAS said that the cost increased during a period of low wholesale gasoline prices. In case of violation of the law on the protection of competition, as the service clarified, companies will be given administrative fines or issued an order to transfer the income received from illegal actions to the federal budget.

In October FAS already excited case against LLC LUKOIL-Tsentrnefteprodukt due to markups on diesel fuel. The company, as reported in the service, almost doubled the level of markup on this type of fuel in small wholesale – from 9.2% to 17.7%.
