The Federal Antimonopoly Service (FAS) opened a case against FC Otkritie Bank due to signs of violation of the advertising law. We are talking about online advertising of loans – the Bank of Russia drew attention to it earlier.
“The advertisement provided information about the loan rate that was attractive to consumers. However, other essential conditions were not specified,” the statement said. Telegram channel FAS.
As the service notes, bank clients received incomplete information about the terms of the loan, in particular about its terms and the conditions for concluding an insurance agreement. If, as a result of the investigation, the FAS discovers violations, the bank will be held administratively liable.
In December 2023, the St. Petersburg department of the FAS fined Otkritie Bank 350 thousand rubles. for violating the advertising law. Violations were found in an advertisement for the Otkritie credit card: it was advertised without identifying the person providing financial services.
