FAS issued a warning to Tinkoff Bank due to a video about brokerage services

The Federal Antimonopoly Service (FAS) issued a warning to Tinkoff Bank (MOEX: TCSG) because of the Tinkoff Investments video, which, according to the regulator, contains an incorrect comparison, reported press service FAS.
The press release states that the service previously received an appeal from the Bank of Russia about a violation of antimonopoly legislation in a video on the Tinkoff YouTube channel. It is reported that the following phrase was heard in the video: “And the best thing in our time is Tinkoff Investments.” At the same time, the video does not indicate objective comparison criteria, the FAS notes.
The service emphasized that such actions by Tinkoff Bank may contribute to obtaining unjustified advantages over competitors and contain signs of violation of the Law “On Protection of Competition”.
The warning issued by the FAS obliges the credit institution to provide in the video, within ten days, all the necessary data confirming the information in the video, or to remove the controversial materials and report this on its website.
