Kirov Department of FAS Russia excited case against a subsidiary of LUKOIL (MOEX: LKOH) due to an increase in gasoline prices, a period of their decline in wholesale. The request to conduct a pricing audit came from the Governor of the Kirov Region, Alexander Sokolov.
Based on the results of the inspection, the Federal Antimonopoly Service found that during the period of decline in exchange prices for petroleum products, retail prices at the gas stations of LUKOIL-Uralnefteprodukt LLC continued to rise. Thus, AI-92 gasoline rose in price by 2.62% – from 49.53 rubles. per liter up to 50.83 rubles. per liter The price of AI-95 increased by 2.42% – from 53.83 rubles. per liter up to 55.13 rubles. per liter
The OFAS noted that LUKOIL-Uralnefteprodukt occupies a dominant position in the petroleum products market in the Kirov region. In this regard, the department opened a case against the company on grounds of violation of the law on protection of competition.
FAS has already excited case against LUKOIL-Uralnefteprodukt due to an increase in prices for AI-92 and AI-95 in the Perm region in December 2023. In total, by February 2024, the department excited 28 cases of violation of antimonopoly legislation in 19 regions based on the results of monitoring prices at gas stations.
