Based on the results of the inspection, the Federal Antimonopoly Service found that during the period of decline in exchange prices for petroleum products, retail prices at the gas stations of LUKOIL-Uralnefteprodukt LLC continued to rise. The OFAS noted that LUKOIL-Uralnefteprodukt occupies a dominant position in the petroleum products market in the Kirov region. In this regard, the department opened a case against the company on grounds of violation of the law on protection of competition.

FAS has already excited case against LUKOIL-Uralnefteprodukt due to an increase in prices for AI-92 and AI-95 in the Perm region in December 2023. In total, by February 2024, the department excited 28 cases of violation of antimonopoly legislation in 19 regions based on the results of monitoring prices at gas stations.
