A subsidiary of the online educational platform Uchi.ru (part of VK (MOEX: VKCO)) received permission from the Federal Antimonopoly Service (FAS) to acquire a 100 percent stake in the authorized capital of the international company (MK) Rushmore LLC, it follows from the service’s database of legal decisions.
Uchi.Ru Plus LLC filed a petition with the FAS in November last year. MK “Rushmore LLC” itself owns the UFirst network of English language schools, which appeared after the local management bought out the Russian business English First from a foreign owner.
The company itself is registered in a special administrative region on Russky Island in Vladivostok. According to the Rusprofile counterparty verification service, 25% of the holding belongs to Elena Mukhametzyanova, another 25% to Madina Fidarova, 20% to Tatyana Ryasova. Information about other shareholders is hidden. Rushmore includes the UFirst online school. According to SPARK-Interfax, the company’s revenue in 2023 decreased by 33.2%, to 774.9 million rubles, net profit – by 85.8%, to 29.6 million rubles.
