Maria Rubinstein, daughter of Lev Rubinstein, said that farewell to him would not be public. The poet died on January 14 at the age of 77.
“This will all be only for close relatives and family, we are not planning to make any event out of it. This is my mother’s decision,” said Maria Rubinstein RBC.
She added that the farewell location is still unknown. Previously Ms. Rubinstein wrote in LiveJournal about the death of the poet. January 8 by Lev Rubinstein shot down car at a pedestrian crossing in the north-east of Moscow. He was taken to the Sklifosovsky Research Institute with multiple injuries.
Lev Rubinstein was one of the founders of Moscow conceptualism. He developed this direction in the 1970s together with artists Ilya Kabakov, Andrei Monastyrsky, poets Dmitry Prigov and Vsevolod Nekrasov. His first publications appeared in the West in the late 1970s, in the USSR in the 80s. In 2012, he received the NOS award for the book “Signs of Attention.”
