Fair Divorce to Save Marriage

Tonight in Moscow at Kino OKKO Afimall City, the premiere of the film “Honest Divorce 2” with Alexander Robak and Agata Muceniece in the lead roles will take place. The comedy was directed by Oleg Asadulin.

In the center of events is our old friend Gena, who, according to the script, is now well known and very successful in the world of humor and stand-up. He married his Milana and she works as a manager. But the joint work brought their marriage to the brink of collapse, personal relationships came to a standstill. Gena cannot come to terms with this and comes up with a risky move. He wants to help Milana fulfill her old dream, but in such a way that the heroine does not suspect her husband’s participation. After all, the adventure conceived by him can easily not be liked by his soulmate, which will finally ruin the family.

“Our heroes, of course, have changed during this time,” says Agatha Muceniece. – They have become more responsible, especially my heroine. In the second part, Milan is waiting for several new roles in life, to which she will have to get used to and adapt. But interesting changes are coming for all the characters in the film. The year proved to be a significant period for this young family. When my Milana realized that she also had her own dreams, this caused a misunderstanding between the spouses. Our cinema is primarily about believing in yourself and your dreams without dissolving into another person. And this is very important for a couple.

The hero of the artist Alexander Robak understood this too.

“The more time Gena spends with Milan,” says Alexander Robak, “the more they get to know each other. Of course, it was not without adventures and disagreements. Our heroes will look for the “golden mean” in relationships and ways not to lose love in the whirlpool of events, not forgetting about their life’s work and helping each other become happier.

Director Oleg Asadulin assures that the shooting of the second part of “Honest Divorce” was one of the most comfortable and sincere in his life.

“Working on such a chamber project with two main characters, between whom there is so much chemistry, is a great pleasure,” says the director. “Moreover, Alexander and Agatha are true professionals in their field and excellent actors. Together we created this incredibly emotional, vibrant and musical story. One of the tasks was to convey a charge of positive and excellent mood through the screen. Hope the audience gets it! “Honest Divorce 2” is a light and magical story that happens on New Year’s Eve. And where there is a holiday, there is music, so there will be enough of it in the film. Well, you’ll see for yourself!

The viewer will see on the screen and the locations that were filmed first in Moscow, and then in Kirov. Naturally, local residents were involved in the mass scenes. When the authors of the picture called out that actors of episodic roles and mass scenes were needed, the people of Kirov filed several thousand applications. The site of the local administration literally “exploded” with questions about how to participate, and as a result, one and a half thousand people starred in the film.

– In Kirov, – continues the director Oleg Asadulin, – we met wonderful people who helped during the expedition. And by the way, there are not many cities in the country that can boast such a developed infrastructure for filming.

The funny thing is that the group filmed New Year’s scenes in the summer, because the story takes place a few days before the most beloved holiday in the country. On one of the central streets, a huge Christmas tree was installed and decorated, garlands were lit, luminous arches were placed, and all this was covered with artificial snow.

– I first starred in a New Year’s project in the summer, – says Agata Muceniece. The winter scenery looked amazing in June! Imagine, among the green summer vegetation, an island of real winter suddenly appears on the square. At some point, it seemed to me that I was carried away into this story with a New Year’s mood.

The rock-islands group headed by Vladimir Zakharov took part in the creation of the film’s musical accompaniment. And the composition “Don’t Say Anything” became one of the soundtracks of the New Year’s comedy, in which actors Olga Tumaikina, Irina Bezryadnova, Svyatoslav Savchenko, Andrey Pynzaru also took part.
