Festival “Parts of the World” canceled
In 2022, the largest Russian festivals and competitions, such as Invasion, Park Live, New Wave and others, have been cancelled. Now they have added another festival of world music called “Parts of the World 2022”, the art director of which is a musician, singer, guitarist and founder of the Aquarium group Boris Grebenshchikov.
A lot of failures, cancellations of concerts, television programs, and now the festival, of which he is the art director, rained down on the leader of the Aquarium group, who left Russia.
The purpose of the festival is to unite the world. Now it is almost impossible. Previously, British folk rockers, Jordanian-Palestinian hip-hop quartets, Finnish folk groups and Russian ensembles and collectives sounded here. You could also hear the Tibetan mantrist, and, of course, listen to the performance of the compositions of the “Aquarium” group and Boris Grebenshchikov.
The musician admitted that at the festival there were only those groups and musical groups that impress the singer himself. The festival has been postponed until next year. But whether it is destined to take place next year, the question remains open.
