Export prices for energy coal in the Far East increased by 20–30%

Against the backdrop of growing demand in China and India, export prices for Russian thermal coal in the ports of the Far East increased by 22–30% in September–October. This is stated in the analytical review of the Price Index Center (PIC) of Gazprombank, which Vedomosti reviewed.
In particular, according to CCI, prices for coal with a calorific value of 6000 kcal per 1 kg on a FOB basis (“loaded on board”) Far East from September 1 to October 27 increased by 22.3% and amounted to $119/t. Less high-calorie coal 5500 and 5000 kcal/kg rose in price by 22.5% to $109/t and by 30.3% to $99/t, respectively.
