Export of steel semi-finished products from Russia to China decreased three times

Russia reduced the export of steel semi-finished products in January-February 2023 to China by 3 times year-on-year to 96,200 tons, and in monetary terms by 5 times to $46.37 million. This follows from the statistics of the Main Customs Administration of China, with which Vedomosti got acquainted with.
In 2022, Russia increased the export of steel semi-finished products to China by 3 times to 2.3 million tons, exports increased by the same amount in monetary terms – up to $1.34 billion (Vedomosti wrote about this on January 23, 2023). The peak of deliveries in 2022 was in July-October, when from 252,000 to 464,000 tons per month were exported. But already in November there were no deliveries at all, and in December only 40,100 tons went to China.
