Export of coal through the ports of the North-West and the South became unprofitable due to falling prices

Export deliveries of thermal coal through the ports of the North-West and South of Russia are on the verge of profitability due to the decline in world coal prices. This is stated in the materials of the Analytical Center (AC) of the Fuel and Energy Complex of the Ministry of Energy, which were reviewed by Vedomosti.
According to the AC Fuel and Energy Complex, the economy of spot coal supplies through the ports of the North-West and the South, taking into account the cost, is already at a negative level – minus 500-2000 rubles per ton. The profitability of deliveries through the ports of the Far East is positive, but since the beginning of the year it has decreased by 4 times to less than 500 rubles per ton.
