Every third Russian startup wants to enter foreign markets

According to a survey by the Eurasian Innovation Center, 52% of Russian early-stage startups plan to use investor money to sell products or services to new customers. 46% of respondents want to invest in marketing.
Another 34% intend to establish sales in new markets, including the CIS countries, the Middle East, North and Latin America. 29% of respondents will spend money on strengthening the team. 23% of study participants want to spend money on product development.
More than 300 entrepreneurs took part in the survey. Among them were graduates of acceleration and pre-acceleration programs launched by the center. The dates of the survey are not given.
In 2022, the functioning of foreign structures of Russian business became more difficult against the backdrop of sanctions. Because of this, problems have arisen in working with banks and local providers, new financial and legal risks have arisen, including the risk of losing assets. All these factors prompted business to restructure foreign structures.
