Elon Musk’s SpaceX is trying to sell its shares to private investors for $77 a share, reports Bloomberg citing own sources. Based on this, the estimated value of the company is now $140 billion.
In recent weeks, Space Exploration Technologies (SpaceX) has been in talks to sell insider shares at various prices, but ultimately settled on a $140 billion bid as part of a tender offer, sources said. At the same time, it is not yet known whether the company will seek to raise capital in the framework of the initial round of financing at such an assessment.
SpaceX is the most valuable private company in the US. According to PitchBook, back in July of this year, SpaceX was valued at $127 billion. Thus, in six months, the company’s valuation increased by $13 billion.
SpaceX itself did not respond to Bloomberg’s request for comment on this information.
