As part of the annual festival of Russian culture in Japan, the tour of the State Academic Folk Dance Ensemble named after A. Igor Moiseev. The last tour of the Igor Moiseyev Ballet in Japan took place 28 years ago.

The ensemble’s website notes that the tour is dedicated to the 85th anniversary of the ensemble, which is celebrated this year. The previous performances of the dance group in Japan took place in 1994. The ensemble was supposed to visit Japan last year, but due to coronavirus restrictions, the events had to be rescheduled.
In 2022 as part of the Festival of Russian Culture in Japan planned more than 30 events, including a tour of the Igor Moiseev Ensemble, a screening of Andrei Konchalovsky’s film “Dear Comrades!”, a film screening of paintings by Karen Shakhnazarov, etc.
