Enel’s net profit fell by almost 30% in nine months

In the first nine months of 2022, the net profit of the Italian energy concern Enel dropped to €1.759 billion. This is 29.8% less compared to the same period last year, follows from reporting. The company’s revenue increased by 84% to €108.177 billion.
EBITDA for the period increased by 8.8% to €12.421 billion. Net financial debt reached €69.736 billion. The forecast for net profit for 2022 was lowered to €5–5.3 billion (instead of the previously expected €5, 6–5.8 billion).
At the end of September, President Vladimir Putin allowed LUKOIL and the Gazprombank-Freesia fund to buy Enel’s stake in Enel Russia. The amount of the transaction for the sale of 56.43% of the shares amounted to €132 million. according to “Kommersant”, about 27% lower than the cost of this package on the Moscow Exchange. Enel closed deal October 12th.
