Writer Vladimir Golovanov dies at 83
Soviet and Russian writer, poet, playwright and public figure Vladimir Golovanov has died at the age of 83, said Sergei Kapkov, editor-in-chief of the Soyuzmultfilm film studio.
According to him, “a great master of animation dramaturgy”, as well as a philosopher, poet and “a colossal organizer and “unifier”” has died. Kapkov clarified that Golovanov died in his sleep.
Vladimir Golovanov wrote scripts for such well-known children’s feature films as “The Adventures of Grass” and “Flight to the Land of Monsters”. He also, together with the Soviet director Fyodor Khitruk, worked on the cartoon “Film, Film, Film” and was one of the authors of the cartoon “Dunno on the Moon”.
Golovanov was one of the founders of the Open Russian Animation Film Festival, also known as Tarusa and later Suzdal.
