Airfields in the Moscow region have begun to provide flight plans to law enforcement because local residents often mistake small aircraft for Ukrainian UAVs and report them to emergency services. They told about it RBC representatives of several regional airfields.

Residents’ complaints were reported in the leadership of the airfields of Shchekino, Volosovo, Nudol and the flying club “Paralet”. After the complaint, the police begin an inspection and ask the airfields which ships were in the air at that time. “The police used to come, look, ask if (airplanes) took off from our airfield.— “b”)… Recently, they have been calling me directly,” Viktor Lobkovsky, director of the Vector Avia company (operator of the Nudol airfield), explained. He added that he now reports in advance about departures to the local branch of the Unified Dispatching Service on Duty.

The director of the Shchekino airfield, Sergei Ryabchinsky, said that he was interrogated by police and FSB officers – they showed videos taken by citizens and asked to identify the plane. The head of the Paralet flying club, Mikhail Kozmin, said that his management held a meeting with representatives of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the FSB, after which the flying club decided to provide data on its flights on a regular basis. In addition, the Paralet airfield “slightly cut” the flight zone – according to Mr. Kozmin, “a lot of air defense resources are wasted when they monitor airspace.” The Volosovo airfield also warns the police about flights.

At the Novinki and Severka airfields, they said that there were no changes in their work. The Aerochemflot alliance assured that the members of the association did not experience complications caused by “mass psychosis around drones”.

Moscow is almost regularly attacked by drones. August 18, during the UAV attack on Expocentre for the first time were limited flights to all airports in the city. As Kommersant found out, on August 22, an anti-drone gun was used against a drone in the capital for the first time.
