Due to sanctions risks, Lukoil has postponed the start of oil production at the D33 field on the shelf of the Baltic Sea by a year – from 2024 to 2025. This is reported in the annual report of Lukoil’s subsidiary, Lukoil-Kaliningradmornefti (operator of offshore projects on Baltic).
As follows from the report, in 2021 Lukoil entered into an agreement with Rosetti Marino Project (a subsidiary of the Italian Rosetti Marino SpA) for the development of working documentation, the purchase of equipment and materials, construction and commissioning. The Italians were also to install at sea the conductor block No. 1 (BK-1) of the offshore ice-resistant fixed platform intended for the project.
