Director and screenwriter Elena Demidova died at the age of 59. Film director Marina Razbezhkina reported this on Facebook (the social network belongs to Meta, which is recognized as extremist and banned in the Russian Federation). The cause of death has not been specified.

Elena Demidova was born in 1964 in Orenburg. Graduated from Moscow State Technical University named after. N. E. Bauman, majoring in engineering. In 1997, she graduated as a historian at Voronezh State University, and in 2006 she graduated from film school with a degree in director. She was a member of the Union of Cinematographers, the Guild of Film Directors of the Russian Federation and the Guild of Non-Fiction Films. She collaborated with the M.
