Dmitry Osipov to step down as CEO of VSMPO-Avisma

General director of the metallurgical corporationVSMPO-Avisma» Dmitry Osipov will leave his post on April 4. This was reported in the press service of the company.
“I sincerely thank all VSMPO-Avisma employees, as well as our shareholders and partners, for their cooperation and support during this important period for the company. It was a great pleasure to work with a strong and dedicated team and contribute to the company’s achievements,” he said (cit. according to TASS). The press service noted that the decision was made on their own.
Until the moment when a new general director of the company is elected, Nikolai Melnikov, executive director of VSMPO-Avisma, first deputy general director, will act in this position.
Dmitry Osipov was appointed CEO of the company in January 2021. His powers were to expire in January 2024. In this position, he replaced Sergey Stepanov, who headed the corporation since 2020, but also resigned ahead of schedule for personal reasons.
Prior to that, since 2013, Osipov headed “Uralkali“. Osipov also held senior positions in large chemical companies OAO Khimprom and OAO Sibur-Khimprom. From 2005 to 2007, he headed OAO Kirovo-Chepetsk Chemical Combine. Then for four years he was the general director of OAO Uralchem.
The company “VSMPO-Avisma” is engaged in the production of products from titanium and titanium alloy.
