Dmitry Osipov leaves the post of General Director of VSMPO-Avisma

The CEO of the VSMPO-Avisma corporation, Dmitry Osipov, is leaving his post on April 4 “due to personal circumstances,” the company told Interfax. Until the appointment of a new head, his duties will be performed by the first deputy general director, executive director Nikolai Melnikov.
Mr. Osipov took the position of General Director of VSMPO-Avisma at the beginning of 2021, he was supposed to stay in office until January 10, 2024. Before joining the company, he was the CEO of Uralkali (from December 2013 to December 2020).
VSMPO-Avisma is the world’s largest producer of titanium and titanium alloy products, its main shareholder is Mikhail Shelkov, Deputy Chairman of its Board of Directors (he owns 65.27% of the shares). Another 25% plus 1 share belongs to Rostec. Mr. Shelkov has entered in the list of the richest Russian billionaires for 2022: according to Forbes, in a year the businessman’s fortune increased by $1.6 billion, to $5.8 billion.
