Director Borodin received 2 million rubles for the production of the play “My Soul Pavel”

Director Alexei Borodin became the laureate of the VI Festival “Biennale of theatrical art. Directing lessons” for staging the play “My Soul Pavel” (RAMT). At the closing ceremony, he received two million rubles, a statuette and a diploma.
Borodin stressed that there should always be a brotherhood of directors. Therefore, “Lessons in directing” makes a lot of sense for maintaining a high level of productions.
“People’s Choice Award” was awarded to Alexei Pesegov for the play “Mischievous” from the Minusinsk Drama Theatre. He admitted that the award came as a surprise to him. Pesegov also received a grant for a new production.
At the closing ceremony of the festival, a performance directed by Marina Brusnikina “Letters to the Art Theater” was shown. It is based on real messages from the audience of the productions directed by Konstantin Stanislavsky and Vladimir Nemirovich-Danchenko.
Their meeting in the “Slavianski Bazaar” 125 years ago was dedicated to the VI Festival “Lessons of directing” held this year.
