Direct flights to Jordan have been resumed from Moscow Domodedovo Airport. Today, March 31, airport served Jordan Aviation flight arriving from Amman.
Domodedovo clarified that planes will fly to Jordan from the airport once a week. In previous seasons, flights from Amman were operated by Royal Jordanian.
After the outbreak of war in the Gaza Strip in October 2023, the Russian government recommended that tour operators suspend flights to countries in the region (Jordan shares a border with Israel). ATOP reported that flights could resume in the spring.
According to the Jordan Tourism Authority, 24.1 thousand Russian tourists arrived in the country in 2023 – 50% more than a year earlier. Last summer, mobile operators recorded the interest of Russians in traveling to the countries of the Near and Middle East.
