Samolet managed to increase labor productivity by 60% in two years, Andrey Ivanenko, managing partner of the group of companies, said at conferencesorganized by Kommersant Publishing House as part of SPIEF-2023. According to him, this indicator was achieved, among other things, thanks to a project to monitor the construction process using artificial intelligence.

“We have a very clear understanding of what productivity is. We know up to the exact hour how long a person was on the site. We don’t use smart watches — it didn’t work, we tried to enter face recognition, we checked a lot of options. Now all of our 30 sites are fenced with a perimeter, there is a system of QR codes. We divide the payment by the number of visits, we know what the productivity of one worker on the site per month is,” said Mr. Ivanenko.

According to him, if in 2021 labor productivity at Samolet was about 250 thousand rubles. per person per month, then by 2023 the company reached the mark of 550 thousand rubles. At the same time, according to Rosstat, the average labor productivity in Russia is 346 thousand rubles. per person per month.

Digitization of the Samolet group started in 2019. During this time, the development company has implemented more than 60 projects within three global platforms. For 2021-2025, the planned investments in digitalization amount to about 8 billion rubles.

Samolet Group of Companies is one of the largest residential developers in the country with a current construction volume of 3 million square meters. m (according to “Nash.Dom.RF”). In 2022, the developer’s revenue grew by 49%, to RUB 194.9 billion, while net profit grew by 57%, to RUB 22.2 billion.

As Kommersant previously wrote, labor productivity in Russia in absolute terms is 5 times lower than that in the United States and 3 times lower than in Germany. At the same time, growth rates in the Russian Federation are higher: in 2008-2021, Russian labor productivity grew by an average of 1.6% annually, and in 2017-2019 – by 2.8%. In the US, the average at the same time was 1.4% and 1.3%, respectively, in Germany – 0.2% and -0.1%.
