Stunt performer, stunt coordinator and actor Oleg Vasilyuk has died at the age of 78. This was reported TASS with reference to the stunt director Oleg Korytin. The causes of death are not named.
Oleg Vasilyuk started working in cinema in the 1960s. His first film, The Seventh Companion, was released in 1967: he played the cameo role of a White Guard who falls down the stairs.
Later, Oleg Vasilyuk starred and did stunts in films and TV shows: “How Hard it is to be a God”, “Treasure Island”, “Kidnapping a Horse”, “Bread, Gold, Revolver”, “Street of Broken Lanterns”, “National Security Agent” and many others. As a stunt coordinator, he worked on the films The Star of Captivating Happiness, The Legend of Til, Truffaldino from Bergamo and D’Artagnan and the Three Musketeers.
