Died actor Yuri Dubrovin, who played in the TV series “The Prisoner of the Castle of If” and “D’Artagnan and the Three Musketeers”

Soviet, Russian and Ukrainian actor Yuri Dubrovin died at the age of 83, reported “Russian newspaper” without reference to the source. The reason is not specified.

Mr. Dubrovin played roles in almost 150 films. Best known for episodic roles in popular Soviet films: “The Ballad of a Soldier” (1959, Pavlov’s friend), “The Living and the Dead” (1963, Red Army driver Pyotr Zolotarev), “In War as in War” (1968, Rumbled), “Liberation: Fiery Arc” (1968, vestibule), “Liberation: Breakthrough” (1969, private Sklyar), “In love of his own free will” (1982, foreman Petrushin). The actor also played roles in many well-known TV series: How the Steel Was Tempered (1973, Tony’s father), D’Artagnan and the Three Musketeers (1979, La Chenay), Battalions Ask for Fire (1985, station commandant Major Perov), “Prisoner of If Castle” (1988, Batistin), “Yesenin” (2005, Yesenin’s grandfather).

Yuri Dubrovin was born in 1939 in Ryazhsk, Ryazan Region. Since 1963 he worked in the staff of the Dovzhenko film studio in Kyiv, since 1979 he served in the Kiev theater-studio of a film actor. He returned to Ryazhsk in 1999. In 2006, while filming in Kyiv, he had two strokes. According to Rossiyskaya Gazeta, because of this, he remained in the city, where his ex-wife followed him. In 2014, he moved to his son’s family in Germany.
