The concert of Diana Arbenina in Ulyanovsk, scheduled for April 15, is cancelled. This was reported to Kommersant by Alexei Igonin, deputy director of the Volga-Sport-Arena sports palace.
Mr. Igonin told Kommersant that the concert on that day “cannot take place, because the day before, the day before, there will be a big regional event.” According to him, on April 14 at the Volga-Sport-Arena “a regional Iftar is planned” (for Muslims – an evening conversation during the holy month of Ramadan, in this case – a big charity dinner).
“It traditionally takes place at the Volga-Sport-Arena and is scheduled for April 14 this year. And we simply will not be able to host two such large events in a row. We immediately told the organizer that technically we would not accept the concert on that date,” the deputy director explained, noting that he did not remember exactly the date when he informed the organizer and asked to stop selling tickets.
Really, according to posters, Iftar is scheduled for April 14. He also noted that the organizer has not yet contacted them to negotiate another date. “But we,” Alexei Igonin continued, “do not know how much it will be possible to determine another date, because now we have a curling championship, then we unfreeze the arena, then there will be a couple more concerts and sporting events, although in theory there are some dates can still be viewed.
Diana Arbenina’s concerts have been canceled for various reasons in a number of Russian cities.
Previously, as informed TASS, the concert of Diana Arbenina in Cheboksary, scheduled for March 14, was canceled due to the fact that the concert organizers did not fulfill their obligations – they did not make an advance payment and did not submit the terms of reference for the event.
