The Deposit Insurance Agency (DIA), which is involved in the forced liquidation procedure of Perm JSC Proinvestbank, published a message about its intention to pay off register creditors by March 1. In April 2021, the Central Bank revoked the credit institution’s license; by that time, its accounts payable exceeded 1.3 billion rubles. The reason for the revocation of the license, according to the Central Bank, was violations on the part of the management of Proinvestbank, which were expressed in underestimating the amount of reserves necessary for the formation of reserves for possible debt losses.

The functions of managing the credit institution were transferred to the DIA, and the Central Bank filed a petition for bankruptcy of the debtor. As a result, the Arbitration Court of the Perm Territory satisfied these demands, but the appellate instance considered that there were no grounds for declaring the Perm bank insolvent. A decision was made to liquidate Proinvestbank JSC. As of January 1 of this year, the bank’s registered debt was repaid by 97.72%.

According to Kommersant-Prikamye, if the debts are paid in full, the bank’s shareholders will be able to receive the remaining assets. Sources familiar with the progress of the liquidation say that we are allegedly talking about land plots, as well as the right to recover under liquid contracts for a total amount of about 200 million rubles.
