Kommersant FM columnist Svetlana Bardina talks about the organization of public green spaces in business-class residential complexes in Moscow.

Today, landscaping is one of the most important competitive advantages in the segment of new buildings. Developers are striving to provide a lot of greenery in the courtyards of new houses, including tall trees, shrubs and flower beds, create walking routes, and also equip children’s and sports grounds. Famous architects are involved in developing concepts. In new Moscow business-class residential complexes, landscaping occupies almost 60% of the development area, according to analysts from the Akvilon group.

The sample included 13 new business-class projects in the old borders of Moscow, which have been launched since the beginning of 2023, and sales in which are still ongoing. These are objects of different scales and with different periods of planned commissioning. Now in these new buildings there are more than 3 thousand apartments with a total area of almost 650 thousand square meters for potential buyers to choose from. m.

The share of equipped green spaces in the residential complexes included in the sample varies significantly, from 11% to 87% of the total built-up area, experts note. At the same time, large-scale improvement, occupying over 70% of the territory, is presented in only five residential complexes. Developers pay special attention to landscaping also because they consider it an important element in creating the most comfortable environment for residents. Thoughtful apartment layouts, convenient private infrastructure, a beautiful yard and a high-quality set of purchasing tools largely determine the success of the entire project.
