Deputy Chairman of the State Duma Boris Chernyshov (LDPR) believes that the enterprises of automakers who left Russia should be sold to Chinese companies. He also proposed to introduce preferential loans and exempt from transport tax for two years when buying Russian cars.

“Many foreign car manufacturers have left their production facilities in Russia. In this regard, it is proposed to sell part of the production to Chinese brands so that they organize the production of their cars on the basis of these enterprises,” Mr. Chernyshev said. “RIA News”. He said that he would send letters with proposals to the Federal Antimonopoly Service and the Ministry of Industry and Trade.

Since the beginning of the military operation, several automakers have left Russia. For example, the Japanese carmaker Nissan and its French partner Renault transferred assets in AvtoVAZ to the Russian government. Some brands have stopped exporting new cars to Russia or producing cars in the country. If at the beginning of the year new cars of more than 50 brands were officially sold in the Russian Federation, by the end of this year there were no more than a dozen of them left.
