Deputy of the State Duma of Russia Alexander Khinshtein spoke about a bribe in the amount of €50 thousand, which Alexander Kurylin, the owner of the Ton-Avto Group of Companies, tried to transfer to him. According to the deputy, for the money, Mr. Kurylin wanted to secure immunity “in the high-profile story of the “golden” chairman of the 6th Cassation Court, Alexander Efanov.” According to Mr. Khinshtein, Alexander Kurylin was detained while handing over a bribe.

Formerly Alexander Khinshtein demanded to check Alexander Efanov because of his purchase of a land plot with an area of ​​​​almost 5 thousand square meters. m on Podzhabny Island for 860 thousand rubles. Alexander Efanov bought it last summer from Era LLC, co-owned by his son Ivan Efanov in 2014-2016. April 6 MP informedthat the presidium of the highest qualification board of judges created a commission to verify the materials submitted by them in relation to Alexander Efanov.

“Without waiting for the end of the checks, Efanov’s friend and one of the defendants in the scandal, Alexander Kurylin, tried to give a bribe to get away with it. The money was meant for me. To this end, Kurylin entered into negotiations with his acquaintance, a certain lawyer Dmitry Mamontov, who claimed that he would “close” all questions with me, as with the main initiator of the checks, as well as with employees of the regional prosecutor’s office. “Our services” were valued by an intermediary who introduced himself as my friend at €50,000,” the deputy wrote in Telegram.

According to Alexander Khinshtein, Alexander Kurylin “was promised immunity” for €50,000. “Otherwise, Mamontov argued, he would be prosecuted for giving a bribe to Efanov: earlier Kurylin handed over to the judge a Toyota Sequoia jeep for 10 million rubles for personal use,” the deputy gave details.

As the deputy clarifies, during the discussion with Dmitry Mamontov of the details of the case, Alexander Kurylin “suspected something was wrong”, after which he filed a statement with law enforcement agencies. “I do not rule out, however, that the calculation was to compromise me, thereby disavowing my accusations,” suggested Alexander Khinshtein.

Further negotiations between Messrs. Kurylin and Mamontov “were conducted under the control of the security forces,” notes Mr. Khinshtein. According to him, during the transfer of a bribe in the amount of €50,000, Alexander Kurylin was detained.

“During the interrogation, Mamontov was forced to confess that he did not know me and had never met; and learned the details of the Kurylin story from the media, on which he decided to make money. The swindler, of course, planned to appropriate the money received, ”the deputy wrote.

A criminal case was initiated against Dmitry Mamontov under the article on fraud (Article 159 of the Criminal Code). According to Alexander Khinshtein, Mr. Mamontov completely chose the blame. He was given a measure of restraint in the form of house arrest.
