The newspaper’s source in the Ministry of Digital Development only confirmed the departure of Mr. Pak. An interlocutor close to the department explained that Mr. Kim could leave the post of deputy minister for telecom, but remain in charge of another direction in the ministry. Mr. Kim, according to this source, “will not leave the perimeter of the ministry” and can take over the direction of state informatization, for which Mr. Park was previously responsible. Another Vedomosti source said that Mr. Pak would most likely move to a new structure for state informatization.
Dmitry Kim has been working at the Ministry of Digital Development since 2021. Prior to that, he held the position of Vice President – Director of the Center macro-regional branch in Rostelecom. In the ministry, he oversees the development of state policy in the field of telecommunications, coordinates the work of the departments for state regulation of the telecommunications market, the development of new telecommunications services and infrastructure projects.
Oleg Pak has been working at the Ministry of Digital Development since 2012. Prior to that, he worked for the Ministry of Economy for seven years. At the Ministry of Digital Development, he coordinates the digitalization of public administration, the development and implementation of state policy in the field of postal communications.
