The American manufacturer of computers and servers Dell finally left Russia in mid-August. This information was confirmed to Reuters by the representative of the company Mark Siemenas.
“In mid-August, we closed all our offices and stopped all operations in Russia,” a company representative said. “Back in February, we made the decision not to sell or service our products in Russia, Belarus, and the Donetsk and Luhansk regions of Ukraine to the already embargoed Crimea.”
Earlier about closing of the Russian branch of Dell informed a number of media. The company’s employees in Russia, of which there were 450 people, are likely to continue working with another legal entity. They will be paid up to eight salaries upon dismissal. In addition, employees are given equipment for free, leave VHI for the family until the end of 2022, and some are also paid a bonus.
Dell took first place in the supply of servers to Russia, the market share was 21%. The company suspended the supply of equipment to the Russian market after the start of a military special operation in Ukraine.
