Pern, operator of the Polish part of the Druzhba pipeline, informedthat the pumping of fuel through the damaged line of the pipeline can be resumed on the morning of August 8. On the evening of August 5, due to a fuel leak, oil supplies along the Druzhba line were temporarily suspended.

“Specialists arrived at the site of the depressurization of the Druzhba pipeline in the Khodech area. The State Fire Service and the Volunteer Fire Brigade are also involved in the work. Currently, repair work is underway on the oil pipeline. The expected time to resume pumping is Tuesday morning,” Pern said. The cause of the leak has not been reported.

On the other line of the pipeline, oil supplies continue as before.

The Druzhba oil pipeline stretches from Almetyevsk to Bryansk, after which it is divided into two branches – northern and southern. The first passes through the territory of Belarus, Poland, Germany, Latvia and Lithuania. The southern branch goes through the territory of Ukraine, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Hungary and Croatia.
