Decathlon has found a buyer for several of its stores in Russia, reported “Izvestia” in the Ministry of Industry and Trade. The government commission for control over foreign investment in the Russian Federation has already approved the application for the deal. Who will be the buyer is unknown.
The department added that the areas included in the deal are located in different regions and are not considered strategic for the company. According to Izvestia’s source, five stores will be sold. Where they are located is not specified.
Decathlon owns 26 facilities in Russia with a total area of over 150,000 sq. m. m. Among them – 25 hypermarkets and one warehouse.
Decathlon suspended deliveries of goods to Russia at the end of March 2022. The remaining goods in the warehouses of the company are sold for Ozone, “Yandex Market” And CDEK.Shopping.
