Theater and film actor, childhood friend of the famous Russian writer Sergei Dovlatov Sergei Dreyden, who died on May 8 at the age of 81 in Finland, cannot be buried by relatives due to bureaucratic obstacles.

As the MK correspondent found out in cinematic circles, the actor’s relatives are trying to overcome bureaucratic red tape in order to deliver the body of the deceased to St. Petersburg.

Director Alexander Proshkin, president of the jury of the film festival “Vivat, Cinema of Russia”, which takes place 31 times in St. Petersburg, told the newspaper journalist that he met Dreiden in the city on the Neva. “An open person, a fountain of energy, strict in his ideas about life,” he recalls the late artist.

“Personality,” Proshkin summed up. — Remained in memory. He also called the deceased “Petersburg planet” and an intellectual.

“A completely unexpected departure,” said the director. “Like a blow to the head.”

Film director Andrei Zaitsev said that he managed to make a documentary film about the actor, the premiere is expected soon at the Bolshoi Theater. This summer, the director, according to him, was planning to shoot a feature film with Dreyden and Alisa Freindlich as spouses. Now, without Dreiden, the film most likely will not happen, since Freundlich is not ready to shoot without him.

Sergey Dreiden is the owner of two national theater awards “Golden Mask”, the award of the Russian Academy of Cinematographic Arts “Nika”. He played in the films “Window to Paris”, “Fountain”, “Papa” and others.

It was previously reported that the cause of Drayden’s death was not disclosed. On May 31, he was supposed to take the BTC stage to play in the production of “Three Fat Men” based on the fairy tale by Yuri Olesha. He has played this role for the past few years.
