Danone Russia has filed applications with Rospatent for the registration of Maximel, Actimunis and Actibifidus trademarks for classes 28, 30 and 32 of the International Classification of Goods and Services, follows from the department’s database. This means that, if approved, it will be able to produce milk, milk drinks and yoghurts under these names. Previously, the company had already stopped producing yogurts and curds under the Activia brand in Russia, renaming it to Aktibio. The changes affected only the name and design of the packaging, emphasized in her message. It explained that “the localization of the international brand will allow the company to resume investment in the development and support of the modern dairy category, which will have a significant impact on the development of the entire category of modern dairy products in Russia.” Earlier in 2022, the company announced the suspension of any investment in the Russian Federation.
