Cybersecurity specialists turned out to be the most demanded in the IT market in Russia

The most demanded in the Russian IT market are information security specialists and system analysts, the Zarplata.ru service found out, transmits “RIA News”.

Representatives of the service asked managers of Russian IT companies which specialists they need more often than others, and found out that 54% of respondents are looking for cybersecurity specialists, and 53% for system analysts.

At the same time, information security specialists are among the rarest IT personnel (15%), along with DevOps engineers (16%) and senior developers (14%). The most popular programming languages, according to Zarplata.ru, are Java (60%), JavaScript (47%) and C++ (36%). The vast majority (78%) of IT employers are looking for employees for a hybrid work format that combines office and remote work, only 10% offer a purely office format, and 12% remote.

At the end of spring 2022, against the background of the outflow of IT specialists from Russia after the start of a military special operation in Ukraine, a preferential mortgage program for IT specialists and a deferment from the army were introduced. The Kremlin has previously announced interest in creating the necessary conditions for their return.

In January, the Kommersant newspaper found out that the Ministry of Digital discuss with industry associations, measures that will stimulate the return to Russia of IT specialists who left. In particular, we are talking about the guaranteed provision of armor from conscription in the Russian Armed Forces, as well as full or partial payment for the flight to the Russian Federation. At the same time, the possibility of increasing personal income tax from 13% to 30% for workers from abroad is being considered, even if formal tax residency is maintained.
