CSKA denies that a controlling stake has passed to a Chinese company

CSKA has nothing to do with Balance Asset Management Limited from Hong Kong, said the press secretary of the football club, Kirill Breido. On September 25, a controlling stake in the club was transferred to the Balance Asset Management company, controlled by businessman Vitaly Balanovich. Octagon.Media suggested that it was actually a Hong Kong company run by Zhukai Zhu.

“Colleagues published incorrect guesses. PFC CSKA has nothing to do with the company of the same name from Hong Kong and Mr. Zhukai Zhu,” wrote Mr. Breido in Telegram.

At the end of September, it became known that more than 77% of the club’s shares were transferred from VEB.RF to the Balance Asset Management company. According to the agreements between the former and new owners of CSKA, the sports part of its activities will remain “for the current minority shareholders” – the president of the club, Evgeny Giner. Mr. Balanovich intends to develop business on the basis of the real estate complex of the CSKA football club.
