Crimean authorities set out to make the peninsula a year-round resort

The transformation of the Crimea into a year-round resort is one of the main tasks in terms of developing tourism on the peninsula, said the governor of the region Sergey Aksyonov.
According to him, this year 8 new hotel organizations with 336 rooms were opened in Crimea, as well as 89 sanatorium-resort and hotel organizations were modernized and reconstructed.
“Today, 65 all-season sanatorium and resort organizations operate in our region, 11 projects for the construction of modern modular hotels are being implemented, warm outdoor pools are being created in existing hotels … Expanding the scope of the holiday season and turning Crimea into a year-round resort is one of the main tasks in terms tourism development”,— wrote governor in his Telegram channel.
Earlier, the authorities of the peninsula recognized the summer season-2022 as disrupted. According to official data, due to the cancellation of flights, the number of tourists on the peninsula fell by 40% compared to 2021.
