CPC confirmed the suspension of oil shipments at the marine terminal near Novorossiysk

The Caspian Pipeline Consortium (CPC) reported that it had suspended oil transshipment at the sea terminal in South Ozereevka near Novorossiysk due to unfavorable weather conditions, the CPC press service reported in Telegram. On the suspension of oil shipments from Novorossiysk on January 15, citing sources reported Reuters agency.
Oil shipments have been stopped until weather conditions normalize and storm warnings are lifted, CPC clarified. Reception of oil from shippers has also been suspended due to overstocking of raw material storage capacity, the consortium added.
According to Reuters, Russian companies have suspended oil exports through the Black Sea since January 14 due to worsening weather conditions. By data information system of the Hydrometeorological Center ESIMO, today, January 16, at about 9:00 Moscow time, waves off the coast of the Krasnodar Territory could reach a height of 4–4.5 m. ESIMO predicts that the storm will completely subside by the morning of January 17.
In November 2023, due to a powerful storm in the Black Sea, Russian ships were idle for 12 days. Weather brought to disruption of the shipment of major export cargo, including oil and grain.
