“The construction of a modern liner is a new stage in the development of navigation on Baikal. The ship with a length of 87 meters and a width of 14 meters will be the largest ship in the water area of the lake. The number of its crew is 42 people. The number of passengers will be 144 people in the cabin version and 200 in the pleasure one,” the message says.
The press service of the Eastland Group of Companies also noted that the completion of the construction of the first vessel and the start of navigation are scheduled for 2026. By data the industry publication Flagman, the cost of each vessel of the PV8714 project will be 1.5 billion rubles, and their construction will be financed by JSC State Transport Leasing Company.
