Weapon assembly production capacity increased by 30%, reported press service group of companies “Kalashnikov”. Since July 2022, the company has modernized production.

In July 2022, the company began implementing a project that included a phased improvement of work processes. The project included the installation of new equipment and adjustment of the assembly launch conveyor to the required speed and timing. The optimal production flow was also calculated and formed and a buffer stock of raw materials and parts was provided.

“All this allowed us to complete the most important task for us – producing products on time and in the quantities required by the customer,” said Andrey Baryshnikov, managing director of the Kalashnikov concern.

In September, industrial director of the Rostec arms, ammunition and special chemicals complex Bekhan Ozdoev statedthat Kalashnikov increased its production of small arms by 40% over the year. He called the concern the flagship of the Russian defense industry. In May, the head of Rostec, Sergei Chemezov, said that the enterprises of the state corporation produce almost 80% of Russian equipment participating in the military operation in Ukraine. Deputy Chairman of the Security Council Dmitry Medvedev said that the military-industrial complex conveyors in the country operate in three shifts.
