Coking coal began to rise in price – Vedomosti
[ad_1]
Export prices for Australian coking (metallurgical) coal, which is an international benchmark, returned to growth in July. This follows from the data of the Metals & Mining Intelligence (MMI) industry agency, which Vedomosti has reviewed. Prior to that, they had been declining since February and at the end of May reached their lows since the summer of 2022.
In July, Australian coking coal rose 8% to $232 per 1 ton FOB Australia. The agency also notes that the quotation of imported premium coking coal in China added 13% in July (an absolute figure is not provided).
