Coca-Cola has announced a new permanent flavor called spiced. The company said that the drink will combine the taste of the original cola, raspberries and spices, the TV channel reports. CNN. The new flavor will be the first to appear in stores in the USA and Canada, the launch is scheduled for February 19, follows from the message on website Coca-Cola.
According to CNN, the new flavor will be available in two flavors – sugar-free and classic. Coca-Cola currently sells drinks in three flavors: original, cherry and vanilla. The last to be launched on sale was vanilla cola (in 2020), not counting the limited line of flavors.
Coca-Cola Vice President of Marketing North America Sue Lynn Cha told the station that the new flavor is in line with trends in the beverage category and meets consumers who want bolder, edgier flavors. She said there was “increased consumer willingness to try spiced drinks” and raspberry was chosen because the flavor had become very popular in Coca-Cola Freestyle soda fountains.
